In the past +30 years I’ve had an amazing chance to teach thousands of people from all over the world in Wing Chun principles and methods.

Besides teaching people how to fight well, I have also been fortunate to help people build great confidence, courage, and self-respect. But it wasn’t always like that.

I’m pretty sure I have been just like you... motivated and open-minded. But even though I from the very beginning had access to several Sifu´s at the biggest Wing Chun School in the world with over a thousand students I had both incorrect and insufficient knowledge.

I truly wanted to master Wing Chun, but I could feel that there was some important missing links.

the first 15 years I trained under a lot of different Sifu´s, but their different explanations and applications were more contradictory than supportive, and my progress was therefore frustratingly slow.

When I went to China in 2007 and became a private student of Grandmaster Wan Kam Leung I learned from a master with an unseen level of skill, logical and easily applied theories and high level senior students That was when I had my first big breakthrough.

This breakthrough gave me a feeling of having superpowers, easily getting ahead on timing and in a position of power advantage. I also felt everything was much easier to learn and apply and that gave me an extra boost of confidence and motivation for further development.

As I expected, it also became a lot easier to handle fighters outside Wing Chun, such as MMA, Muay Thai and Grappling.

But I also had three big unexpected benefits:

  1. I automatically became better at all other sports and physical tasks due to my optimized movement patterns and understanding of body mechanics.

  2. I gained more mental strength as I learned to stay calm, focused, and tactical under pressure, which translates to all other areas of my life.

  3. Third, and maybe most importantly, i gained a community of Wing Chun practitioners with a shared standard of excellence, which has enriched my life with great friendships, quality training partners, and wonderful trips all over the world.

Even though I’m very confident in my Wing Chun skills and knowledge, I’m eager to grow much more, due to my ongoing inspiration from various incredible grandmasters and my expanding awareness of what is possible.

Wing Chun has become my life journey, opening doors to everything else I want in life, and I’m very, very grateful.
